Herzog Denies Receiving UAE Warning Before October 7
President Isaac Herzog has vehemently denied a report published by the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, which claimed he received a security warning from the President of the United Arab Emirates prior to the Hamas attacks on October 7.
According to a statement from Herzog's office, the discussions between President Herzog and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the months leading up to October 7 did not involve security matters, Hamas, or Yahya Sinwar. Instead, the conversations focused on social and internal Israeli affairs, as well as bilateral relations between the two countries.
The President's office clarified that President Herzog was unaware of any alleged warning and had no knowledge of its existence. The denial directly refutes the Haaretz report's assertion that such a warning was conveyed.
