Jerusalem Rabbi Criticizes Haredi Leadership in Unfiltered Remarks
Rabbi Boaz Naki, spokesperson for the Jerusalem Faction of the Lithuanian Haredi community, made sharp criticisms of various figures within the Haredi public during a recent "Hashkafa" (ideological) discussion in Jerusalem's Geula neighborhood. The remarks were made during a tour by journalist Yisrael Shapira.
Naki, known for his uncompromising style, did not spare any group or individual. He specifically targeted MK Moshe Gafni, alleging that Gafni would call to disparage Rabbi Mordechai Raitz, claiming Raitz was not sufficiently Haredi. Naki also criticized the leadership of the Gur Hasidic dynasty, accusing them of prioritizing political maneuvering and personal gain over the needs of the community.
He further commented on the recent political developments within the Haredi parties, suggesting that their actions were driven by a desire for power and influence rather than genuine religious commitment. Naki's statements reflect a deep dissatisfaction with the current state of Haredi leadership and its perceived deviation from core religious values.
