Reality TV Couple's Public Feud Escalates Over Financial Dispute

Former "Big Brother" contestants Sapir Bar Gil and Avraham Aklom have engaged in a public dispute following a documentary where Bar Gil detailed their breakup and a police complaint that was later closed due to insufficient evidence. Aklom responded by releasing a recording of a heated financial argument between them.

In the recording, Bar Gil is heard saying, "This monkey is a consensual monkey, when there's money this monkey is a partner and wags and shuts up, what happens the monkey wakes up when there's debt." Aklom replied, "Before this I didn't speak, so am I guilty for not complaining all year?" Bar Gil interrupted, stating, "Wait, wait. I don't hear what you're saying. I have no idea what you're saying. When did this monkey wake up? When it saw that at the end of the year there's income tax to pay."

Aklom added a written comment to the video, calling Bar Gil a "shameless woman who calls her husband a monkey," accusing her of being bankrupt and only talking about money, while crying on television about living in fear. He explained that in criminal slang, a "monkey" is a straw man used to register assets and hide the true owner from legal or tax risks.

In a subsequent video, Aklom declared he would no longer give the issue a platform, accusing Bar Gil of seeking headlines at his expense and stating that "the people of Israel don't need to be part of this." He directly addressed Bar Gil, denying any threats, violence, or rape, and accusing her of trying to ruin his life and send him to prison out of greed. He also claimed she tried to destroy his mother, father, and entire family, referencing his mother's pain and disappointment.

Aklom concluded his public statements with an image stating "The case is closed," indicating his intention to end the digital battle and keep the matter out of the spotlight.
