Tiv Ta'am and Granot Form Joint Venture for Fruit and Vegetable Trade

Tiv Ta'am, an Israeli food retail group, is expanding its trade activities by partnering with Granot, an agricultural cooperative, to establish a joint venture focused on the fruit and vegetable market. The venture, to be equally owned by both entities, will handle the marketing and supply of fresh produce to Israeli retailers.

Under the agreement, Granot will transfer its marketing and sales operations for wholesale and other retail clients, along with its activities serving the professional and institutional sectors, to the new company. This will be facilitated by Granot's new logistics center under construction at the Iron Junction. Tiv Ta'am will purchase all its fruit and vegetable needs, excluding organic and dried produce, from the joint venture.

The joint venture is slated to commence operations in the second quarter of 2027, pending the completion of Granot's logistics center. Both parties must finalize a detailed agreement and obtain approval from the Competition Authority, if required, before operations begin. Financial details regarding the investment and projected sales have not yet been disclosed.

For Tiv Ta'am, this initiative aims to bolster its trade sector, which has become a significant growth engine, partly due to the acquisition of M&W. In the second quarter of 2026, the trade sector generated approximately NIS 160.4 million in revenue and NIS 14.7 million in operating profit. The company intends to leverage this new venture to broaden its customer base beyond its own stores to include other food chains, restaurants, cafes, hotels, and specialty produce shops.

Tiv Ta'am, controlled by Hagi Shalom, had a market capitalization of approximately NIS 1.32 billion prior to the announcement. Its stock had risen about 13.8% since the beginning of 2026.
