Israel Establishes New West Bank Settlement in Response to UK Sanctions

In response to sanctions and boycotts promoted by Britain and other countries against settlements in Judea and Samaria, the first structures have been erected in the new settlement of "Mitzpe Eretz" in eastern Benjamin. The initial families are expected to move in within the coming weeks. The new settlement, located along Route 458 (Alon Road), is the first officially planned and approved settlement in the region in decades. These initial structures will house the founding families of the settlement. Concurrently, work is accelerating to connect the site to water and electricity infrastructure, improve access roads, and construct the first public building.

Israel Gantz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, stated, "Our response to the sanctions and boycotts is here, on the ground. While Britain tries to punish Jews for living and building in Judea and Samaria, we are placing the first structures of a new settlement in the land of our ancestors. The British Mandate ended long ago, and boycotts from London will not determine the future of Judea and Samaria. They will try to boycott, and we will continue to build: more families, more homes, more settlements, and Israeli sovereignty."
