New Israeli Initiative Aims to Help Startups Scale Globally
ScaleUp House, a new forum for Israeli startups focused on global expansion, has launched to address the challenges faced by companies after initial success. The initiative, a collaboration between Calcalist, Showcase IL, and LeumiTech, aims to guide startups through the complex process of transforming local achievements into broad international operations.
Founded by Hila Ovil-Brenner, CEO of ScaleUp House, the program recognizes that scaling globally presents different hurdles than early-stage development. Startups must navigate new markets, expand sales and marketing, secure advanced funding, and build international management teams. ScaleUp House will provide participants with access to experienced entrepreneurs, investors, executives, and professionals, fostering strategic connections in Israel and the U.S.
Monthly professional meetings, webinars with industry leaders, and peer-to-peer interactions will offer ongoing support. "We are helping entrepreneurs build a network of strategic connections in Israel and the U.S.," Ovil-Brenner stated at the launch event. "You are about to meet the smartest people, including partners and a broad network of entrepreneurs, investors, and experts."
Despite the growing challenges in the startup ecosystem, including increased investor selectivity and rapid AI-driven changes, the initiative seeks to provide crucial support. Maya Eisen-Tzфрир, CEO of LeumiTech, emphasized the need for partners and experts who have navigated similar crossroads, especially in the current volatile environment. "We are in a very special period, in the midst of a revolution that I'm not sure many of us have understood where it is developing and going," she said.
Other partners include The Phoenix ESOP, Google for Startups, Sullivan & Worcester, and Sela. The program will offer startups access to Google's infrastructure and network, alongside connections to investors and industry leaders worldwide. The goal is to create a supportive network for entrepreneurs tackling the significant leap to the global market.
