Israeli Youngster Oryan Goren Included in Barcelona's Champions League Squad
Oryan Goren, a young Israeli talent, has been included in the extended squad for Barcelona's upcoming Champions League match against Feyenoord. Goren has impressed during Barcelona's preseason with the senior team and has also performed well for the club's reserve team.
While his inclusion in the extended squad does not guarantee he will play or even be on the bench, it theoretically allows coach Xavi Hernandez to select him for the final 23-man matchday roster. Goren previously drew praise in Spain for an "artistic" assist with his shoulder during a reserve team match against Naxara.
Catalan sports outlet 'Sport' highlighted Goren's growing importance to Barcelona's reserve team, noting that after a strong preseason with the first team, he was given a key role in the reserves by coach Juliano Belletti. Barcelona's Champions League group stage opponents, following Feyenoord, include Galatasaray, PSG, Aston Villa, Sabah, Manchester City, Sporting Lisbon, and Como.
