Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball Club Faces Injury Concerns for Sussman, Harper

Hapoel Jerusalem is concerned about player Yuval Sussman, who injured his ankle during the team's recent victory over Ashdod in the Winner Cup. Initial assessments suggest the injury is not severe, but further tests are expected today to determine the full extent of the damage and Sussman's expected recovery time. Club officials anticipate it's likely a sprain, which could sideline him for a few weeks.

Adding to the team's challenges, star player Jared Harper is still undergoing rehabilitation in Israel for his own injury. The club estimates Harper will be out for another three to five months, noting his insistence on remaining with the team during his recovery. Hapoel Jerusalem attempted to sign a replacement during the past week, with Spencer Dinwiddie and Cameron Payne reportedly considered, but both players declined offers to come to Israel.

Coach Sasa Obradovic addressed the possibility of acquiring another player, stating that no current negotiations are underway and that any new signing must be "special" and precisely what the team is looking for. He emphasized they would not sign just any player.
