Israeli diplomatic sources sharply criticized the emerging agreement between the United States and Iran, saying it is a bad deal because it removes pressure too early and takes off the table the military threat that had been in place until now, according to Kan News.
The same sources also objected to clauses linking developments in Iran and Lebanon. They said those provisions run against not only what Israel wants, but also what Lebanon itself wants.
The officials further raised concern over President Donald Trump’s proposal to discuss limits on Iran’s ballistic missile program in a regional format, meaning with Gulf states involved. In Jerusalem’s view, that approach would not sufficiently restrict the missiles that threaten Israel.
