Bodø/Glimt Nominated for Club of the Year at Ballon d'Or Awards
Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt, the club of Israeli goalkeeper Nikita Haikin, have been surprisingly nominated for the Club of the Year award at the prestigious Ballon d'Or ceremony. The team is listed alongside football giants Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.
Bodø/Glimt earned their nomination following a historic debut campaign in the UEFA Champions League. During their run, they achieved notable victories against strong opponents like Manchester City and Atlético Madrid, eliminated Inter Milan, and were only defeated in the quarterfinals by Sporting Lisbon.
The full list of 30 nominees for the Ballon d'Or, recognizing the world's best player, was also released on Tuesday, alongside nominations for various individual awards and the Club of the Year honor.
