PR Guru Ran Rahav Slams Likud's Plan to Slot Yaakov Bardugo

Public outcry is intensifying over planned reserved slots within the Likud party's Knesset list, with prominent PR executive Ran Rahav launching a scathing attack against the potential appointment of Yaakov Bardugo, a Channel 14 commentator and close advisor to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Rahav took to social media to denounce the move, calling it "appalling," "a disaster for the Likud," and "a disaster for democracy." He directly addressed Likud leadership, stating that after removing figures like May Golan and Tally Gottlieb, the Prime Minister is now bringing "new shame" to the party by considering Bardugo. Rahav accused Bardugo of being responsible for "the separation of people" and acting as the "mouthpiece for the Prime Minister's lies," further alleging that Bardugo is behind "wild incitement against a huge public."

Rahav warned that approving Bardugo's candidacy would signify the "final nail in the coffin" for the Likud party. This strong condemnation comes as reports suggest Bardugo is slated to receive the 11th spot on the Likud list, a reserved position stemming from the party's union agreement with the "New Hope" party.

The controversy unfolds amidst a broader wave of reserved placements within Likud, including former Brigadier General Amir Avivi, founder of the "Bithonistim" movement; Tali Guili, mother of a fallen Yasam officer; reservist fighter Elisha Medan, who was severely wounded in Gaza; and attorney David Peter from the Kohelet Forum. There are also reports of discussions to include former Knesset member Eli Goldschmidt.
