TV Host Slams Political Alliance, Predicts Painful Split

Yoaz Hendel, chairman of the "Reservists Party," announced a joint run with Professor Yaron Zelekha, chairman of the "Economic Party," for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections. Hendel stated their union aims to combat monopolies that make life expensive and political monopolies that control the state.

However, veteran TV host Raviv Drucker of Channel 13's "Choice Zone" heavily criticized Hendel's decision to partner with Zelekha. In a televised monologue, Drucker questioned Hendel's judgment, suggesting he didn't research Zelekha, whose public record Drucker characterized as "lies, working for monopolies, and disseminating false data." Drucker specifically cited Zelekha's shifting stance on Prime Minister Netanyahu and his alleged role in the cellular reform.

Drucker warned Hendel, "The separation will also be painful," implying that Zelekha's history of difficult working relationships would repeat itself. He contrasted Zelekha's past with Hendel's perceived integrity, despite disagreeing with Hendel's political positions.

Zelekha and Hendel agreed on core principles for their joint party, including only joining a Zionist government and demanding a universal conscription law before forming one. Zelekha emphasized that Hendel's party understands the needs of combat soldiers, while his economic team will secure funding and fight monopolies to lower prices for Israeli families, calling the combination of economic and security experts the "perfect combination."
