Israel-UK Tensions Rise Over Proposed West Bank Sanctions
Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has called for the immediate expulsion of the British ambassador to Israel in response to the United Kingdom's incoming Prime Minister, Andy Burnham's, intention to impose sanctions on Israeli products from the West Bank. In a separate development, following Defense Minister Israel Katz's threat of war against the Palestinian Authority if they 'reverse their cannons,' a prominent Gazan user posted advice for their West Bank counterparts on how to handle a potential war, drawing from their experience in Gaza.
A senior Fatah official indicated that holding Palestinian Authority elections in November is not feasible. In Yemen, the Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for attacking Saudi logistical trucks in Yemeni territory with ballistic missiles and boasted about the attack, promising further actions.
