Israeli Ministers Ben-Gvir and Smotrich Criticize UK Over Sanctions Threat
Israeli Ministers Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-Gvir have strongly criticized Britain on social media platform X, ahead of anticipated sanctions from the UK against Israel. Smotrich called for the expulsion of the British ambassador "this evening," stating, "We will not be trampled by an antisemitic government in a country conquered by radical Islam, which is trying to save itself from economic and social collapse by attacking Jews and the State of Israel. The British Mandate in the Land of Israel has ended."
Ben-Gvir, writing in Spanish, urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to recognize Argentina's sovereignty over the Falkland Islands and to impose sanctions on Britain "as long as the occupation continues." He added, "It is time for the State of Israel to publicly recognize that the Falkland Islands are occupied Argentinian territory."
