Ofer Winter Rejects 'Gift' Flowers, Criticizes Government Over Judicial System
Ofer Winter, chairman of the Am Echad Yisrael party, responded to a bouquet of flowers left at his home by right-wing activists who allegedly sent it on behalf of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. Winter dismissed the gesture, stating, "Spoiler: Gali didn't really send me these flowers, this is just some clown trying to capitalize on our backs, on Am Echad Yisrael's." The flowers were delivered after Winter's party submitted its Knesset list and closed off possibilities for alliances with other parties. The activists reportedly placed the bouquet with a sarcastic card reading, "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Gali Baharav-Miara," outside Winter's home in Mitzpe Netufa. Winter criticized the activists, saying, "So friends, you got confused. If instead of nonsense and gimmicks you had been busy truly fixing the judicial system over the last four years, Gali Baharav-Miara would no longer be here."
Winter also directed criticism towards the Military Advocate General's Corps, declaring that his party would take action where others have failed. "But patience, what they failed to do, we will do," he stated. He concluded his remarks by saying, "What was will not be. And regarding the beautiful bouquet, wow, I liked the purple."
