Israeli Drone Detection System Eyed for European Military Vehicles

Israeli company "Third Eye" (Ein Shlishit) has signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with a major European manufacturer of armored vehicles and ground defense systems. The agreement aims to integrate Third Eye's Argus Shield drone detection systems into the European company's fleet of tens of thousands of vehicles.

Field trials are scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026, following initial system synchronization and hardware preparation in the same quarter. These trials will take place in the partner's testing facilities to demonstrate technical and operational feasibility, addressing a growing demand for drone defense solutions. Each company will bear its own costs during this initial phase, with Third Eye retaining exclusive intellectual property rights for its observation and identification systems.

The European manufacturer has indicated a potential market demand for hundreds of Argus systems, particularly in Europe and globally. A phased deployment is anticipated, with an initial commercial rollout estimated at $2-3 million in 2027. Production volumes are expected to increase in 2028, leading to serial production of hundreds of units annually starting in 2029.

This collaboration follows an earlier report on August 26th, where the European manufacturer placed an initial order to test Third Eye's systems as an integrated solution for new vehicles and as an upgrade for its existing extensive fleet, which is deployed operationally across Europe and worldwide.
