Static and Ben-El Turn Down Over 1.5 Million Shekels for Reunion Performance

Static and Ben-El were offered about 1.5 million shekels to reunite for a single song at a large party hosted by the tech company Wiz, but they declined, according to mako. The offer was for a one-song appearance at what the report described as Wiz’s “millionaires’ party,” first revealed by mako.

The event eventually featured performers including Harel Moyal, Harel Skaat, Shiri Maimon, Ninet, Odaya, and other artists. But according to people familiar with the matter, Static and Ben-El were also asked to come on stage and perform together.

Those sources said the pair turned the offer down even though they are already on good terms. One industry source told mako, “It is not the right time yet, but it will come, money is not a factor in the decision right now.”
