Right-Wing Activists Leave Mock 'Thank You' Wreath at Ofer Winter's Home

Right-wing activists placed a wreath at the home of former Brigadier General (res.) Ofer Winter, chairman of the "Am Israel" party, with a mocking note thanking Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. The activists are concerned that Winter's decision to run independently in the upcoming elections could cost the right-wing bloc tens of thousands of votes, potentially leading to a left-wing government and strengthening the Attorney General's powers.

The wreath, left at Winter's home in Moshav Netufa, bore a sarcastic message: "Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Gali Baharav-Quickly." This action highlights growing criticism within the right-wing camp regarding Winter's insistence on a solo run, which they fear could prevent his party from crossing the electoral threshold and cause a significant loss of votes for the national camp.

Protesters argue that if Winter's party fails to enter the Knesset, these lost votes could be decisive in forming the next government. They believe this scenario would benefit the left and, consequently, the Attorney General, by leaving key power centers in her hands and granting her even more extensive authority. The activists intended the symbolic gesture as a stark political warning to Winter about the potential consequences of his independent candidacy.
