US President Donald Trump praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the issue of their relationship, saying, “Bibi is a great guy, he gets excited from time to time.” Trump said the two countries maintain a “good partnership,” but added that they are in dispute over Lebanon.
Trump said he had asked Netanyahu to act more gently toward Lebanon and “not to bring down a building with a Hezbollah person inside it.” He did not provide further details about the disagreement.
He also said that although the partnership is good, Netanyahu is the smaller side in it and “we are the ones making the decisions.”
