Police Arrest Three Suspects in Grenade Attack on Japenica Branch

Israeli police have arrested three additional suspects in connection with a grenade attack on a Japenica restaurant branch in Rosh Pina. The incident occurred on July 15, 2026, when an explosive device was thrown at the restaurant, which is owned by businessman Barak Abramov, also the owner of the Beitar Jerusalem soccer club. Northern District police responded to the scene, collected evidence, and launched an investigation.

On August 7, 2026, three suspects, including two residents of northern Israel and one from central Israel, were apprehended on suspicion of involvement in the grenade attack. They were transferred to the Kinneret District's crime-fighting unit for further questioning. The suspects are scheduled to appear before the Kiryat Shmona Magistrate's Court, where police will request an extension of their detention.

These arrests follow a series of arson and attack incidents targeting Japenica branches across Israel, including locations in Rehovot, Kiryat Ono, Haifa, and Givatayim.
