Maccabi Tel Aviv Coach Dismisses Criticism After Dominant Win

Maccabi Tel Aviv coach Kenny Miller brushed off criticism following his team's decisive 4-1 victory over Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the Turner Stadium. Miller praised his team's performance, stating, "We played really well, we knew who we were playing against, we showed attacking power. We could have scored five or six goals in the second half. We played away against a very good team, but when you get these chances, we could have come away with more." He acknowledged a difficult period after a red card but highlighted the team's strong second-half resurgence, emphasizing their commitment and the positive feeling after the game.

Addressing questions about the team's failure to qualify for European competition, Miller stated, "I don't pay attention to what people say." He expressed confidence in the current squad, noting their strong start and continued good play and scoring, asserting, "We trust the players and the team and you can see it."

Miller also discussed the recent acquisition of James Tavernier, explaining that the player "wanted to try something new" and had not played abroad recently. He indicated that Tavernier would improve in the coming weeks as the team has "a long way to go" and aims to always be the best.
