Einat Wilf Joins Yoaz Hendel's Party Amidst Political Mergers
Former Knesset member Dr. Einat Wilf, currently the chairwoman of the "Oz" party, announced on Sunday her union with Yoaz Hendel's "HaMiluimnikim" (Reservists) party. This move follows Hendel's announcement less than 24 hours prior that he was joining forces with Professor Yaron Zelekha and the Economic party.
Wilf, a researcher and author, previously served as a Knesset member for the Labor party. In recent years, she has been notably active in promoting Israel's narrative abroad and has expressed strong stances on security, Zionism, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The merger of Hendel, Zelekha, and Wilf is the latest in a series of political alliances formed as the deadline for submitting party lists for the Knesset approaches. According to a poll published Saturday by Kan News, this bloc could potentially shift the balance of power, tipping the scales to favor Prime Minister Netanyahu's bloc as the larger one.
