West Bank Stabbing Victim Recounts Hand-to-Hand Struggle With Assailant

Netanel Jacobs, who was wounded in a knife attack in Samaria on Sunday morning, described his fight with his assailant from his hospital bed. "I hit him and pushed him away. He fell to the ground and I fell with him," Jacobs recounted from Beilinson Hospital. While on the ground, Jacobs attempted to grab a rock to defend himself but could not reach it. According to his testimony, the knife blade broke during the struggle, but the attacker continued to try and stab him. "I grabbed him and choked him, then he managed to escape and ran to his car," Jacobs continued. Despite his injuries, Jacobs attempted to pursue the attacker, only then realizing the severity of his wounds. "I saw that I was covered in blood and that I had been stabbed in the head, neck, and hand," he said. His parents, Avdiel and Penina, stated that his condition is now stable and praised their son's courage, believing the attack could have had a much graver outcome. They also called on Israeli authorities and the IDF to strengthen measures against perpetrators of attacks and their supporters.
