Jewish Power Party Considered Placing Released Hostage on Knesset List
The Jewish Power party considered offering a symbolic spot on its list for the upcoming 26th Knesset to Rom Braslavsky, a hostage released from Gaza.
Braslavsky was abducted from the Nova music festival during the October 7th Hamas attack and was later freed as part of a hostage deal. The party intended this gesture, placing him in the final, non-elected position on the list, as a "badge of honor" to express gratitude and appreciation for his survival.
The consideration of Braslavsky's inclusion comes as Jewish Power finalizes its electoral slate. The current list is headed by party leader Itamar Ben-Gvir, followed by Tali Gottlieb, who joined from the Likud party. Other prominent positions include Yitzhak Wasserlauf in third place, Amichai Eliyahu in fourth, Limor Son Har-Melech in fifth, and Yitzhak Kroizer in sixth.
Further down the list, Hananel Dorfman, Ben-Gvir's chief of staff, is slated for seventh place. The party is also filling subsequent spots with Jewish Power activist Tzachi Eliyahu (eighth), Chabad figure Yossi Goldberg (ninth), party CEO and bereaved brother Itiel Neeman (tenth), and legislative advisor David Bavli (eleventh).
