Jewish Power Party Considered Placing Released Hostage on Knesset List
The Otzma Yehudit party considered offering a symbolic, final spot on its list for the 26th Knesset to Rom Braslavsky, a survivor of the Hamas captivity following the October 7th attack. Braslavsky was abducted from the Nova music festival and later released as part of a hostage deal.
The party, led by Itamar Ben-Gvir, viewed this potential placement as an "honorary gesture" to acknowledge his ordeal and survival, rather than a move intended to secure him a seat in parliament.
This consideration occurred as Otzma Yehudit finalized its electoral slate. The current list places party leader Itamar Ben-Gvir at the top, followed by Tali Gottlieb, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, Amichai Eliyahu, Limor Son Har Melech, and Yitzhak Kroizer. Other positions are filled by figures such as lawyer Hananel Dorfman, activist Tzachi Eliyahu, Chabad figure Yossi Goldberg, party director Itiel Neeman, and legislative advisor David Bavli.
