Israel Airports Authority said Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport will reopen in the coming days as summer travel demand rises. The move, advanced at the initiative of Transportation Minister Miri Regev, is intended to handle expected peak-season traffic and improve passenger service.
According to the authority, domestic flights from Terminal 1 will resume on June 28, 2026. International flights from the terminal will restart a few days later, on July 1, 2026.
Officials said reopening Terminal 1 should help ease congestion at Ben Gurion and allow the airport to better prepare for the busy summer season. Travelers were urged to check in advance which terminal their flight leaves from so they can avoid unnecessary delays and arrive on time.
The Airports Authority also recommended that passengers keep following updates from their airlines and from the authority's official information channels for any possible changes or notices.
