Israel Airports Authority says Terminal 1 at Ben Gurion Airport will reopen on June 28, 2026, as it prepares for a seasonal rise in passenger traffic. The move is meant to help absorb the heavier summer demand at Israel’s main international airport.
According to the announcement, domestic flights will resume from Terminal 1 first, starting June 28. International flights will return to the terminal four days later, on July 1, 2026.
The authority stressed that passengers should check in advance which terminal their flight departs from, so they arrive on time and avoid confusion. It also advised travelers to follow updates and any changes directly with their airlines and through the authority’s official information channels.
The reopening was reported as the authority’s response to expected congestion during the summer months, with the aim of providing more capacity for the growing number of travelers.
