Hapoel Kfar Saba Sacks Coach Shachar Weizinger After Heavy Loss
Hapoel Kfar Saba has parted ways with head coach Shachar Weizinger less than 24 hours after a demoralizing 6-1 defeat to Hapoel Ra'anana. The club had already signaled a significant change was coming when Monday's training session was canceled following the decisive loss. Weizinger's tenure ended with the team in 15th place in the National League, having secured only 3 points out of a possible 12 this season. Last season, Weizinger nearly led Hapoel Tel Aviv's youth team to a dramatic championship, which was ultimately decided by goal difference in favor of Maccabi Tel Aviv. He also previously coached Hapoel Afula in the National League and served as an assistant to Barak Bakhar and Masaï Dego at Maccabi Haifa. Under Adam Lev last year, Hapoel Kfar Saba finished in 7th place but failed to win in the final five matches of the season.
