Ofer Winter's 'Am Israel' Party Submits Knesset List Independently
The 'Am Israel' party, led by retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter, has submitted its list of candidates for the 26th Knesset, confirming its intention to run independently in the upcoming elections. This decision comes after attempts to forge alliances within the right-wing bloc failed to materialize before the submission deadline.
Winter stated that his party, launched just two weeks ago, has already become a significant player, bringing a "new spirit" that represents the entire population. He outlined the party's platform as "true right-wing and military decision-making in all arenas," alongside integrating Haredim into the IDF and supporting soldiers. Winter expressed confidence, saying, "With God's help, we will be the surprise of the elections."
The list is headed by Ofer Winter himself, followed by Joseph Haddad, Netali Shem Tov, Eran Ben-Ari, Pler Hassan-Nahum, Lali Deri, Ronen Bodner, Davidi Ben Zion, Aviv Ezra, and Sigal Kraunik-Attia. Other candidates include Eli Gino, Arik Rubin, Alam Ibrahim, Moshe Har-Tzion, Lilach Haim-Idelberg, Moshe Toledano, Raz Malka, and Dor Yitzhak. The party has requested the Hebrew letter 'ך' for its Knesset designation.
Winter's independent run is expected to be a focal point in the coming days, particularly concerning the potential fragmentation of votes within the right-wing bloc and ongoing efforts for party mergers.
