Ofer Winter's 'Am Israel' Party Submits Knesset List Independently
The 'Am Israel' party, led by retired Brigadier General Ofer Winter, officially submitted its candidate list to the Central Elections Committee on Monday for the upcoming 26th Knesset elections. This move definitively ends speculation and pressure for alliances, confirming Winter's decision to run independently and precluding any joint blocs or mergers with other right-wing parties.
Winter stated that his party, launched just two weeks ago, has become a significant political force by offering a "new spirit" representing all segments of the population. He emphasized a policy of "true right-wing and military decision-making on all fronts," alongside integrating the Haredi community into the IDF and fully supporting soldiers without compromise or serving as a political shield for others. Winter expressed confidence that 'Am Israel' will be the surprise of the elections.
The submitted list includes prominent figures from public, political, and media spheres. Alongside Winter, the candidates include prominent advocacy activist Yosef Haddad, journalist and TV presenter Netali Shem Tov, former Jerusalem Deputy Mayor Fler Hassan-Nahum, publicist Lili Deri (mother of a fallen soldier), and Deputy Head of the Samaria Regional Council David Ben Zion, among others.
