Jerusalem police raided an educational institution in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood of East Jerusalem on Wednesday after receiving specific intelligence about alleged incitement material being kept there. During the search, detectives from the Jerusalem District’s special units found and seized Palestinian Authority flags, scarves with similar markings, and educational materials suspected of promoting incitement.
Police said the operation was carried out by investigators from the central Jerusalem unit’s special assignments squad. The raid followed information indicating that Palestinian Authority teaching materials were being stored inside the school and were suspected of containing inciting content.
After the items were found, the school principal was detained for questioning. The police statement said the materials and the flags were collected as part of the investigation into the school’s contents and possible incitement to terrorism.
