Chasidic Music Stars Dudu Kalish and Dudu Pollack Release New Medley

Chasidic music artists Dudu Kalish and Dudu Pollack have released a new musical medley titled 'Zecharti Lach' (I Remembered You), coinciding with the Jewish month of Elul, a period of repentance and reflection leading up to the High Holy Days. The project, produced by Aaron Goldberg and Moshe Z. Roth, aims to convey a message of divine love for the Jewish people, drawing inspiration from the biblical verse by the prophet Jeremiah: "Go and proclaim in Jerusalem, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord, “I remember for you the devotion of your youth, the love of your bridehood, your going after Me in the wilderness, in a land not sown.”’"

Kalish, who also arranged and orchestrated the medley, incorporated both ancient and new melodies, weaving them together with an expanded orchestra conducted by Yehuda Rosgold. The 'Neranenah' choir, led by Yaakov Rosemarin, also features prominently, with their performance adding an emotional layer and connecting different generations. The medley's concept, developed by Rosemarin, blends vocal performance with musical production.

A music video accompanying the medley was filmed at the 'Zechor Ahvat Kedumim' dinner for the 'Zichron Eliyahu' Torah institution in southern Israel. Directed by Hershy Segal, the video aims to visually complement the musical experience and enhance the atmosphere of the High Holy Day season. The project's visual design was handled by Zeira.
