Gadi Eisenkot Submits 'Yashar!' Party List for Upcoming Elections
The "Yashar! with Eisenkot" party officially submitted its list of candidates for the 26th Knesset to the Central Elections Committee, just before the deadline. The party is seeking to run under the ballot letters "Derech" (דרך), which it states represents its core message of a "straight path" of state leadership, responsibility, service, Zionism, and unity.
Former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot heads the list, with former Shin Bet head Yoram Cohen in the second position. The list includes a diverse range of candidates from security, economy, education, and public and social sectors. Notable figures in the top ten include Orit Farkash-Hacohen, Adi Altshuler, Matan Kahana, Chili Tropper, and former Ministry of Finance official Shaul Meridor.
Party representatives Inbar Harush Giti, former CEO of "Acharei!", and Shaul Meridor submitted the list. Eisenkot stated that the list comprises "excellent Israelis who have chosen to take responsibility for the country's future," highlighting a blend of proven experience and promising new talent. He also emphasized the list's gender equality and expressed confidence in the party's aim to win the elections, replace the current government, and form a "Zionist, state-oriented, and broad government."
