The story · English

Former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot has submitted the "Yashar" party list for the upcoming Knesset elections. Eisenkot, considered a leading contender for the next prime minister, filed the list on Monday afternoon. Former Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen is placed second on the list, followed by former minister Orit Farkash-Hacohen in third place.

Education figure Adi Altshuler is ranked fourth, and former minister Matan Kahana is fifth. Hili Tropper, who recently joined Eisenkot after dissolving his partnership with Yoaz Hendel, is sixth. Shaul Meridor, former head of the Budget Division at the Ministry of Finance, is seventh.

Rounding out the top ten are Tair Ifargen, former director-general of the Ministry of Labor, in eighth place, and Osherat Gani-Gonen, head of the South Sharon Regional Council, also in eighth place. Shirah Shapira, mother of Aner Shapira who was killed on October 7th, closes out the top ten. Shapira joined Eisenkot's party yesterday along with Tropper.
