Player's Agent Expresses Surprise at Hapoel Be'er Sheva Star's Exclusion

Mohamed Abu Rumi, a key player for Hapoel Be'er Sheva, was surprisingly left out of the squad for the team's crucial match against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Monday. His agent and uncle, Anis Abu Rumi, expressed his own surprise and that of the player at the decision made by coach Ran Kochav.

"I am surprised just as you are surprised," Anis stated in an interview. "How does such a thing happen? The coach is at the top of the pyramid, and I was personally surprised to see him not in the squad, but we look ahead. It's not the end of the world for a player to be out of the squad; we focus on what we do and hope for better." He added that while the player was surprised and didn't understand the decision, he respects it and remains focused on the team.

Anis clarified that speculation about a potential transfer to a Russian club did not influence the player's mindset, emphasizing his commitment to Hapoel Be'er Sheva. He acknowledged that he doesn't have all the answers regarding the coach's decision but stressed the need to remain calm and focused.

Despite the surprise, Anis downplayed the situation, stating, "It's not dramatic, it's not the first time he's not been in the squad, there's no need to make a fuss about it." He affirmed that the player is committed to Hapoel Be'er Sheva and is training with the team, leaving future possibilities open-ended.
