Israeli Parties Rush to Submit Knesset Election Lists Amid Alliance Talks
The process of submitting electoral lists for the 26th Knesset elections began Tuesday before the Central Elections Committee, headed by Judge Noam Sohlberg. Submissions are expected to continue until 5 PM Tuesday, resume Wednesday at 4 PM, and close at 10 PM Wednesday. Concurrently, parties are engaged in intensive negotiations to form electoral alliances, with pressure mounting on smaller right-wing parties to unite.
On the right, Bezalel Smotrich announced he would run in an alliance with Moshe Feiglin, while Itamar Ben-Gvir continues to refuse an alliance with Smotrich. Meanwhile, on the Arab political scene, the United Arab List, led by Mansour Abbas, is expected to submit its papers. However, the issue of submitting the tripartite Joint List remains unresolved due to an internal crisis within the Front concerning the candidacy of Jafar Farah. Efforts by the "All of Us" party, led by Rula Daoud, to join the Joint List have also not yet been decided.
