Smotrich Says Party Feels Better With Women on List, Cites Electoral Needs

Religious Zionism party leader and Transportation Minister Bezalel Smotrich discussed considerations for placing women and new figures on the party's electoral list in a conversation with party members on Sunday. According to a report by Amihai Yarhi for i24NEWS, Smotrich stated that the party has several open slots, including for women, Sephardic individuals, representatives from the periphery, and potentially members of the "Generation of Victory" currently serving in reserve duty.

Smotrich acknowledged that including a woman on the list would improve the party's image, saying, "We know that if we bring a woman, we will feel better, there is no argument about that at all." However, he emphasized that any such inclusion must ultimately be electorally beneficial. He indicated that the party is looking to fill various demographic gaps to strengthen its appeal.
