South Korean Player Hyun-jung Lee Joins Trail Blazers Training Camp

South Korean basketball player Hyun-jung Lee is reportedly set to sign a contract to join the Portland Trail Blazers' training camp for the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season. Lee, a 2.01-meter guard/forward who will turn 26 in October, aims to earn an NBA contract but is expected to play for the Trail Blazers' G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix, according to Blazers reporter Sean Highkin. Lee previously played college basketball at Davidson University from 2019 to 2022, where he was sidelined by a foot injury before the 2022 NBA draft. In 2023, he played for the Golden State Warriors' G League team, averaging 5.5 points and 4.3 rebounds. He then played in Australia and Japan, where he was named MVP of the Japanese league finals last year, leading his team to a championship with 17.4 points per game. Lee also participated in the San Antonio Spurs' Summer League team two months ago, scoring 8.6 points per game. He joins fellow Israeli player Deni Avdija on the Trail Blazers roster.
