Sibling Duo's Vigilance in Lebanon Thwarts Ambush on IDF Unit

During Operation "Lion's Roar" in southern Lebanon, a brother and sister serving in the multi-dimensional "Ghost" unit played a crucial role in preventing a deadly encounter. Sergeant A., a sniper positioned in the Lebanese village of Kantara, observed suspicious activity around a building. He alerted his older sister, Lieutenant E., an intelligence officer in the same unit, who was stationed at a command center several kilometers away.

Sergeant A. meticulously tracked the suspicious movements for hours, day and night, relaying detailed information to his sister. Lieutenant E. then worked to corroborate his findings using intelligence methods. Once she was 100% certain the location was occupied by enemy combatants, an airstrike was ordered, successfully destroying the building.

It was later discovered that the building was the intended entry point for a reconnaissance unit from the Golani Brigade. Lieutenant E. expressed relief, stating, "I don't want to know what would have happened if they had entered and encountered them there." The siblings, from Tzur Hadassah, described their joint service as a significant personal milestone, especially given their parents' peace of mind knowing they are looking out for each other amidst the fighting.

Lieutenant E. also spoke about her role as a maternal figure to her brother and his comrades, providing comfort and support. Sergeant A. affirmed his sister's dedication to their well-being, particularly his own. The operation highlights the effectiveness of close familial and professional cooperation within the IDF during combat operations.
