Jared Kushner: Israeli Elections Make Government 'Irrational' on Gaza
Former White House advisor Jared Kushner stated during a visit to Kyiv that the upcoming Israeli elections are making the Israeli government "a little irrational" in its decision-making regarding Gaza. Kushner, who was in Ukraine to discuss the ongoing war, commented on the situation in the Gaza Strip and efforts to disarm Hamas.
He explained that while the United States and Israel agree on the desired "end state" for Gaza, the electoral process is hindering progress. "They just have crazy elections, and it makes them a little irrational in certain aspects," Kushner said at a press conference.
The "Board of Peace" initiative, aimed at disarming Hamas and other militant groups in Gaza, has stalled due to Israeli opposition. This plan is intended to be coupled with an Israeli withdrawal from the territory.
