Lawyer Mohammed Na'amneh Re-elected to Judicial Selection Committee

Lawyer Mohammed Na'amneh has been officially elected to a third term as the representative of the Bar Association on the Judicial Selection Committee. Na'amneh, who also heads the Northern Bar Association, was elected unopposed, meaning no vote was necessary according to established procedures. The National Council of the Bar Association, comprising 44 elected members and ex-officio members including the Bar Association president, the state attorney general, the director-general of the Ministry of Justice, and the military advocate general, is responsible for electing the Bar's representatives to statutory committees.

Na'amneh's previous elections to the committee saw significant support. In his first election in 2020, he secured 26 votes against Doron Barzilai's 12 and Yitzhak Gordon's 5. In 2023, he won decisively with 34 votes, while Yitzhak Nitovitch received only 3. Also in 2023, Na'amneh was re-elected as head of the Northern Bar Association without opposition.
