New Cinema Complex Opens in Bat Yam After 12-Year Absence

Bat Yam residents will once again enjoy a city-based cinema experience starting September 24th with the opening of the new Movieland complex on the second floor of the "Big Fashion" mall. This marks the return of cinema to the city after a 12-year hiatus, coinciding with Bat Yam's 100th anniversary.

The launch event will honor reserve soldiers and their families, offering them dedicated premiere screenings throughout the day and evening as a token of appreciation. The new complex features four screening halls, including two upgraded halls with comfortable sofas and armchairs, a dedicated children's hall, and a space for private events and conferences, according to a report in "Israel Hayom."

Movieland is introducing a "refill" service for unlimited soft drinks and slushies at the concession stand. Special offers include discounted tickets for "Shlishi B'Shlaykes" members, midnight screenings on Thursdays and Fridays for 30 shekels, and half-price children's movies on Sundays. Notably, the premium seating in the concept halls will be available at no extra charge compared to a regular ticket.
