Liberman's Yisrael Beiteinu Party Unveils Knesset Candidate List
The opposition party Yisrael Beiteinu, led by Avigdor Liberman, has presented its slate of candidates for the upcoming Knesset elections. The presentation event, held in Tel Aviv, drew over 1,000 attendees.
Liberman heads the list of 25 candidates. Former Beit She'an mayor and ex-Likud member Rafi Ben-Shitrit, whose son Shimon Elroy was killed on October 7, 2023, at the Nahal Oz military post, is listed second. Colonel (res.) Talia Lanki, formerly deputy head of the National Security Council, holds the third position. Current Knesset members Oded Forer and Yulia Malinovsky are ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.
Sharon Sharabi, brother of freed Hamas hostage Eli Sharabi and of Yossi Sharabi, who died in captivity, is sixth. MK Hamad Amar and Yevgeny Sova are seventh and eighth, followed by Lood Deputy Mayor Elvira Kolikhman at ninth. Likud MK Dan Illouz is tenth on the list.
Other notable candidates include Lili Ben Ami, Metula Mayor David Azulai, Captain (res.) Yisrael Ben-Shitrit, Limor Magen Telem, and Sharon Roffe Ofir. Polls suggest Yisrael Beiteinu could secure between 8 and 11 seats in the elections scheduled for October 27.
