Top Rabbi Blesses "Ezrat Achim" Donors with Abundant Livelihood

Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, a leading halachic authority in Israel, offered a rare blessing of "abundant livelihood" to donors of the "Ezrat Achim" organization. The blessing was given during a ceremony held at his home days before Rosh Hashanah, where knives intended for donors were presented. The knives, inscribed with "He who cuts life for all living," are meant to serve as a constant reminder of the blessing and the donor's contribution.

"Ezrat Achim" provides hot, nutritious meals daily to hundreds of families in Beit Shemesh facing severe illness or complex medical needs. The organization's services are crucial for families where illness incapacitates parents, leaving them unable to cook. The meals are essential for recovery and maintaining normalcy, especially during holidays when traditional meals are expected.

The organization ensures that recipients' dignity is maintained, with meals delivered discreetly. "Ezrat Achim" is described as a vital safety net for the rapidly growing city of Beit Shemesh, assisting tens of thousands annually with food baskets, medical equipment, and support during crises.

Donors can contribute through a monthly standing order of 150 shekels (approximately $5 per day), which the organization states will provide a hot meal for a patient. In return, they receive the blessed knife and the promise of abundant livelihood for the new year, as per Rabbi Sternbuch's blessing.
