Israeli Author Dorit Hakim Launches Hollywood Career After Divorce
Israeli author, producer, and businesswoman Dorit Hakim is embarking on a new chapter in her career, focusing on Hollywood productions. Hakim, known for her bestseller "The Direction: West," has partnered with producer Li Shira of "Siena" productions to develop an ambitious slate of films.
The duo recently attended the Los Angeles premiere of the action thriller "By Any Means," starring Mark Wahlberg and directed by Allegiance Burton. Hakim and Shira were key producers on the film alongside Wahlberg, and they anticipate continuing their collaboration with the star on future projects.
Following their Los Angeles visit, Hakim and Shira are heading to the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). There, their film "The Housewife," which opens the festival, will be screened. This film features notable actors Naomi Watts, Tye Sheridan, and Luke Evans. "The Housewife" is also slated for festival appearances in San Sebastian and Zurich, where Watts is expected to receive a lifetime achievement award.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Hakim has undergone significant personal changes. After 27 years of marriage and three children with high-tech billionaire and Check Point founder Shlomo Kramer, the couple has separated. Hakim is now dividing her time between Tel Aviv and Ibiza, with rumors circulating about a new relationship blossoming on the Spanish island.
