Knife Attack in South Tel Aviv Leaves One Injured, Two Suspects Detained

A stabbing attack occurred in southern Tel Aviv on September 6, 2026, resulting in one person being wounded. The victim sustained a head injury and was transported to Ichilov Hospital for medical treatment, according to the police press service. Police officers and MAGAV (Border Police) forces quickly initiated a search for the perpetrators. Two foreign nationals, estimated to be around 30 years old and reportedly of Eritrean origin, were apprehended shortly thereafter. During the search, law enforcement discovered a knife, believed to be the weapon used in the assault, which was seized as evidence. The detainees were taken to the police for questioning. Authorities plan to request an extension of their custody from the court to continue the investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
