Channel 14 reporter and host Tamir Sneid and his wife Shira have welcomed a baby daughter, nine months after the tragic death of their firstborn, Emmanuelle, who passed away at four months old in December 2025. The birth brings joy to the family as they continue to cope with their profound loss.

Sneid had publicly shared his grief and longing for Emmanuelle, particularly last month when she would have celebrated her first birthday. He posted on Instagram about the stark reality they faced, contrasting it with the life they had imagined for her. "Today our Emmanuelle should have celebrated her first birthday. Instead of blowing out a first candle on a cake, we stand before her memory. And it breaks the heart. Forever she will remain our four-month-old firstborn daughter," he wrote.

Despite the ongoing pain and the "unfading longing" he described, Sneid and his wife have emphasized their choice to "choose life" and maintain their faith. "The world is destroyed, but we chose life," Sneid stated after Emmanuelle's passing, drawing a parallel to the Hanukkah candles and the message of perseverance.
