On Monday, Channel 14 news anchor Tamir Schneider publicly confronted Nadav Eyal, a journalist from Yedioth Ahronoth, following Eyal's disparaging remarks calling Schneider and colleague Noy Bar "two young zeros." The dispute arose after a Channel 14 segment featured criticism from bereaved families directed at former IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot. Eyal accused the channel of attempting to "erase" Eisenkot's status as a bereaved father by framing the headline as "Bereaved Families Against Eisenkot" rather than "Bereaved Families," implying a manipulative intent. Eyal later deleted his social media post.

Schneider responded firmly, emphasizing that Channel 14 consistently acknowledges Eisenkot's loss and respects his status as a bereaved father, while also noting that as a politician, Eisenkot is subject to criticism. Schneider told Eyal, "If this does not suit you, you can move on."
