Israeli Premier League Schedule Adjusted for Player Rest

The Israeli Premier League has no games scheduled for Sunday, a departure from the usual football schedule. This scheduling change is a concession to the teams following a congested fixture list.

Last Wednesday and Thursday saw makeup games in the Premier League, with Hapoel Be'er Sheva facing Hapoel Haifa and Hapoel Tel Aviv playing against Beitar Jerusalem. The close proximity of these matches to Sunday's potential games could have increased the risk of player injuries. To mitigate this, league organizers granted the teams an additional day of rest.

Furthermore, the upcoming Saturday will also be free of Premier League games due to the Rosh Hashanah holiday. This allowed for the rescheduling of matches to Monday, ensuring all teams receive adequate rest. While not always possible to accommodate teams with extra rest days due to scheduling constraints, organizers opted to do so in this instance.
