Israel's National Security Council (NSC) and the Prime Minister's Office issued a statement on September 6, 2026, warning that attempts to harm Israelis and Jews worldwide continue. The advisory clarified that this information reflects ongoing global trends and increased attacker motivation, rather than new, specific threats.

The primary sources of danger are identified as Iran and its proxies, including Hezbollah and Hamas, which are seeking to target Israeli diplomatic missions, military installations, and community centers. The approaching third anniversary of the October 7th events is also cited as a potential trigger for protests and violence.

To mitigate risks, Israeli citizens abroad are urged to adhere to strict security protocols. Recommendations include avoiding the display of Israeli or Jewish symbols, limiting the use of Hebrew in public, and refraining from posting geolocation data on social media. Travelers are advised to steer clear of anti-Israel demonstrations, remain vigilant near synagogues and Jewish community centers, and avoid travel to high-risk countries or those where entry is prohibited.
